Star Trek TNG stars reunite for comic con in Chicago. A whole lot of awesomeness in one picture.
(Clockwise starting far left: Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Gates McFadden, unknown, William Shatner, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn (very far right, cut off), LeVar Burton, Patrick Stewart).
(Seriously, though. Religious people are so cute when they try it with the big thoughts, big words and big concepts. Everytime they come back with a rebuttal of some sort against us evil atheists, it always ends up in some incoherent, pathetic clusterfuck such as this piss poor cut and paste job of a cartoon. But it is cute in my opinion. It is like watching a dog walk on its hind leg or something. Just adorable how hard they try and still miss by miles.)
“At a lodging place on the way, the Lord met Moses and was about to kill him. But Zipporah took a flint knife, cut off her son’s foreskin and touched Moses’ feet with it. “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me,” she said. So the Lord let him alone. (At that time she said “bridegroom of blood,” referring to circumcision.)” – Exodus 4:24-26
What kind of a stupid, lame childish god is offended by foreskin?
And what kind of an abusive, selfish, narcissistic sociopathic asshole threatens to murder you if you do not cut off the foreskin that he, as the god, allegedly created himself??
Do you get that people: God creates foreskins. He then says they must come off (even though he could have just omitted them in the first place, see) and then when someone doesn’t take them off, he threatens to murder them?
Seriously – I can’t begin to describe the failed logic in this one and the sheer cruelty of such a logic, if the words logic and religion even go together. Think about this: who creates you one way, sets the rules deliberately at the exact opposite, waits for you to mess up and else sets you up for “failure” and then proceed to horribly punish you if you do, in fact, mess up?
This is the kind of stuff that gets me about religion and the legions of religious people who just (blindly) follow their religion, either conveniently omitting the parts they don’t like or genuinely not being aware of them or worse, be aware of them and just make excuses for them.
And what gets me even more is that people are apparently really that needy and stupid, really, to either believe such an asshole god is either real or worse, divine.
